ABOUT / PROFILE
Architecture,
city, art
and writing.
Juan Carlos Leal Rojas is an architect and architectural designer whose work connects architectural design, urban development, representation and research across Caracas and Toronto.
Educated at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, his early work developed through drawing, public-space questions and the relationship between private architecture and collective urban life. The thesis project The Mall became an early framework for examining how commercial architecture can participate in the city.
In Canada, his professional experience expanded across new construction, renovations, urban design, city planning, interior architecture, mixed-use development and master planning.
This website is an evolving archive of projects, drawings, professional experience and writing rather than a conventional portfolio.
